Here’s the deal, everyone has personal crap to deal with. The same stuff that is holding you back has likely held back thousands of other entrepreneurs who either quit or worked through it and moved on. The more quickly and thoroughly you identify your shit and deal with it, the sooner your venture becomes successful. That whole thing about leaving your personal crap at home when you come to work? That doesn’t exist for today’s entrepreneur. Like it or not, your business brand and your personal brand are inextricably linked.
I can help you. Why? Because I’ve done it. I’ve been there. I’ve failed, and I’ve picked myself back up, and dusted myself off, and charged ahead, and then failed again. It wasn’t until I started really identifying and dealing with my own shit that I started finding success. And clarity. And happiness in my career. Suddenly, it all started coming together!
think of it as an investment ...
An investment in yourself and your business.
If you had specific fitness goal and were very motivated to reach that goal in a specific period of time, you would most likely hire a personal trainer to help you reach it. You’d be willing to spend money to pay that trainer because they help people reach those same kinds of goals every day. Because they focus specifically on this area, and they do it every day, you likely believe they know more about it than you do – they’re experts. Plus, when you hire a personal trainer, they hold you accountable. You’re more likely to do what you say you’re going to do because you know they know! So you’re willing to make that investment in a personal trainer, but really it's an investment in yourself, your health and your well-being.
It’s the same thing with coaching. You’re hiring a coach (maybe it’s me, or maybe it’s someone else) who has done the work themselves, who does it everyday with clients and has become an expert in removing blocks and taking action in their own business, and helping others do the same. And by reporting your progress to them, you become accountable, and far more likely to reach your goals. Think about how much that would be worth to you. It’s an investment in yourself and the longevity of your business, in your success, and ultimately your own happiness!
You May be a solopreneur, but you don't have to go it alone!
Entrepreneurship can be a lonely road. At the beginning, you might be working alone, from your home. You might, on occasion, work in front of your computer all day in your pajamas and never even go outside or talk to another human being! This is where having a coach to connect with – to keep you on track, and keep you from going too far down the rabbit hole – is a huge blessing. Plus, many coaches (myself included) will connect you to the other clients in their community via Facebook groups and other means, so that you always have access to others for idea-sharing, feedback and moral support!

I mentioned fun earlier, but that does not mean it’s all going to be easy …
- You must be willing to do the work. If you do the work, success is inevitable.
- You must show up to appointments when you say you will. If you can’t keep at least that commitment, we’re doomed.
- You must be open to new ideas and approaches. What I suggest will, on occasion, push you out of your comfort zone. If you’re not open to changing, you will stay stuck.
- You must be willing to be totally open and honest. There is no judgement here, so we’ll get a lot further a lot faster if you lay it all out on the table from the start.
- You must be willing to let go a little bit and have fun! It’s not always going to be easy, but if it’s not fun some of the time, what’s the point?
Just to be clear, I like a little bit of woo-woo. This is coaching after all – we have to talk about feelings to get past the blocks and get you unstuck. It’s not for everyone, but at the same time, I take a no-BS approach. I will hold your hand, but I will not sugar-coat the issue.
