There’s nothing that irritates me more than flakiness and yet it’s pervasive in our society. Sure, "Talk is cheap." But what happened to "Do what you say you will do?" I've learned recently the power of micro-commitments in making progress toward some macro goals. Our culture has this incredible aversion to failure. When someone says they “feel like a failure” it brings up some of the worst emotions: self-doubt, pity, shame.
